Blast Gothic has reference to early 20th century designs, specifically Morris Fuller Benton's Alternate Gothic. Its characteristic element is the three different heights of the characters, but each of them is lined up with the others at the same width. The original typeface, in addition to the special narrow design, was also characterized by only bold letters for heavy titles.
In the new version, Blast Gothic, still consists of three heights of narrow fonts, but they are accompanied by 8 different weights for each height and correspondingly designed italics. A total of 48 fonts, 16 for the medium height Medi, 16 for the low Mini and also 16 for the tall Maxi. Combined with the intermediate instances provided in the Variable version (free in the full package), they make Blast Gothic an ideal solution for titles, on modern sites, for logos or posters. The versatility provided by the different heights and thicknesses can give a special image to each project that will be used.
Blast Gothic supports Latin (Extended) and Greek monotonic, 4 different numbering modes, fractions and more.
