Takis Katsoulidis: After many years of designing and publishing several typefaces and while focusing my work basically on contrasted designs (serif or sans-serif) due to the greater need in modern Greek typography, I decided to create a purely monolinear sans. I named it Messiniaka, in honor of my birthplace Messini in Peloponnese, and to draw it on, I relied on the proportions and aesthetics of my oldest font, Apollonia.
Dimitris Bovolos contributed to the digital design, with the final editing of Vasilis Georgiou and Panos Haratzopoulos.
